Nuestra especialidad son los viajes privados / de fotos de 3 a 5 días. Para nosotros es la mejor manera de compartir nuestro entusiasmo por La Zona con usted. Estos viajes se preparan por fotógrafos, exploradores urbanos y personas que simplemente no pueden vivir sin Chernóbil. Sabemos dónde y cuándo llevarlo para obtener la mejor luz para sus excelentes tomas.

Nos reunimos con usted en el aeropuerto / estación de tren y lo trasladaremos a su hotel / hostal. En la mañana del día 1, reúnase con su guía Nikolai Fomin (https://www.facebook.com/Kolia.Fomin) frente a su hotel / hostal a las 07.50 a.m. Revisará los detalles de su pasaporte. Luego salida de Kiev. Nuestros vehículos tienen aire acondicionado, wi-fi por lo que siempre está seguro y en contacto con el mundo, incluso en medio de la nada. Nuestros conductores expertos harán el viaje seguro. Tienes la oportunidad de ver un documental y obtener información muy básica sobre la zona. Se tarda aproximadamente 2 horas en llegar a la entrada principal de la zona, punto de control "Dytiatky", donde pasaremos el control de pasaportes, firmamos las reglas de seguridad de radiación y comienza el recorrido

Check-in en uno de los hoteles en la ciudad de Chernóbil. Hacemos todo lo posible para que usted permanezca en un nuevo hotel llamado "Desiatka", pero puede estar completamente reservado en los días de la gira. En tal caso, se hospedará en el hostal “Polissia”, pero tendrá desayuno / cena en “Desiatka”. Ten en cuenta que esto es Chernóbil, así que no esperes un hotel de 5 estrellas, pero de eso no se trata el viaje. (¡Atención! Hay un toque de queda a las 10 p.m., hora en la que el hotel está cerrado. Tampoco se le permite caminar por Chernóbil sin su guía). El hotel en Chernóbil es un alojamiento para dos personas. Si necesita una habitación individual, por favor háganoslo saber con antelación.

Suplemento habitación individual es de 40 $ extra.

En el día 1-5 - explorando y tomando excelentes fotografías. Este viaje es una oportunidad única para ver la verdadera Zona de Chernóbil y comprender su escala y diversidad. Será un viaje duro a través de toda la Zona de Chernóbil.

El almuerzo y la cena se ofrecen el día 1 en pensión completa el día 2-4 y el desayuno y el almuerzo del último día en las cantinas de Chernóbil (comida vegetariana disponible si se pide), cocina ucraniana, todos los productos se entregan desde Kiev. Cada vez que abandone la zona a los 10 km y a los 30 km, deberá pasar controles de radiación. En caso de fallo comienzas a trabajar como guía allí. (es una broma)

Llegará de regreso a Kiev alrededor de las 8 p.m. en el último día de su recorrido y lo dejarán en su hotel. Organizamos un traslado al aeropuerto también. Could hardly be any better. Nikolai is clever, creative, understanding, and very reliable. His English skills are way above average (would guess Cambridge level C1 or even higher), so even communicating pretty tricky details is easy with him. We have seen many awesome non-standard places and things in the zone with him, and I can therefore truly recommend him as guide - especially if you are a little more curious and adventurous than the average visitor. It will really pay off.
PS: as he knows a hell lot of photography himself he has an amazing understanding of perspective and light. Hence, whatever your preferences are, Nikolai will be able to guide you to the right spot at the right time to get whichever awesome shot you are after.

Nikolai was an amazing guide! I booked a 3 day tour with him in the zone and had an awesome time. We visited Pripyat as well as some of the outer farm villages. Is Pripyat tour safe?

Good news and bad news. Bad first – there are places around that are very contaminated and dangerous. Good news – you are fine as long as you follow your guide and do not try to escape, sneak somewhere or break the law in some other way. Pripyat guided tour usually has recommended routes that are safe for visitors. If you’re not going to sit on the ground, eat Chornobyl’s mushrooms or swim in Pripyat River you will be okay.

On the borders of 10 and 30 km zone there are radiation control frames that you will need to pass each time you move between the areas or go back to Kyiv. This is to ensure that no radioactive particle are stuck to your clothes or shoes. After the tour you do not need to burn your clothes or throw them away.

There are rules here to follow during the tour and these rules will be clearly announced in the beginning of the trip. As a double safety measure, you’ll be handed a printed version of these rules and sign that you’ve understood it. It is in our best interest to make your trip not only interesting, but 100% safe.

Pripyat tour price

Pripyat tour cost includes all the charges, transport, paperwork cost, permit for the zone and for the shooting, staying at the hotel (in a twin room, extra 40 euros if you are alone and want a room for yourself), 3 meals per day, and a personal dosimeter. The only expenses that you might need would be snacks, souvenirs, tips, etc.

Can you tour Pripyat for the whole day or two?

Absolutely no problem, we can do that on a private tour. There are enough interesting routes in the city to travel for even several days. Not only kindergartens and amusement parks are interesting for a visit. Have you even heard of the abandoned summer camp? Dentist department of the hospital? The morgue? Former football stadiums? How much to visit Chernobyl? What’s the minimum price?

The lowest price you can see at Gamma Travel is 89 euros – it’s a standard price for a one day tour in a group. The price, however, is higher for private and multiple day tours. All the prices in Gamma Travel include transportation cost, permits and other paperwork, lunch, staying in hotel and all meals on multiple day tours, etc. There’s no hidden commission or other additional payments.

Where is Pripyat located? Is it far from the exploded reactor?

The ghost-town is one of the closest settlements to the nuclear power plant. The distance between the closest micro district and the exploded reactor is only nearly 2 km. Other districts are slightly further. The famous Ferris wheel is approximately 3 km away.

What happened to Pripyat?

As a result of the explosion lots of radioactive particles covered the whole town. People were evacuated, but the liquidators of the catastrophe stayed to live in some central buildings of the city. In 1997 everyone left and still no one lives there and won’t ever be able to. The city is completely abandoned.

When to visit Chernobyl?

It is absolutely up to you. As for the seasons there are no any restrictions. Even in February when it might be -20 C in Ukraine, we are still operating our tours (it’s not very comfortable though). The only day in the year when you cannot go to Chornobyl is the 26th of April. It’s easy to understand why – the accident happened on this day and now it’s a day of commemoration. Any other day during the year is available, unless there’s a quarantine situation like in spring 2020.

How to visit Chernobyl from UK?

First of all, you need to book tickets to Ukraine. The cheapest options to Kyiv (KBP or IEV) are Ryanair (from Stansted), Wizzair (from Luton) and MAU (Ukrainian airlines, departure from Gatwick).
